DURATION: 2 Part framework

We’ve embraced our new reality with Covid-19 and will be offering our courses using the framework below. As new evidence arises we will continue to make changes to offer a high value learning experience and to keep us all safe.

Part 1 – Live Online via Zoom: Mon – May 10, 2021: 8:00am – 11:00am

Part 2 – In-Person skills training: Mon – May 10, 2021: 12:30pm – 4:30pm
(with Covid still so active we will only be doing the In-Person session this afternoon)

For the Part 1 Live Online session, please ensure you have:

• A Heart and Stroke resuscitation portal account (to check your user ID and password work – or to create a free account)
• Zoom software (secure version 5.0 or later – free account)
• an online quiz will also be included in this portion of the course

For the Part 2 In-Person session, here are some of the basic requirements as part of our Covid-19 Safety Plan:

• Everyone will be evaluated for health to enter the room
• Everyone must bring their own mask
• Gloves and wipes will be provided at each station
• Each station will be wiped down between participants
• Breaks at least once per hour (5 minutes)
• Stay 6’ apart

BLS training will also be included in this time frame.

TUITION: will be paid by Providence Health Care. Please note that your registration is subject to SkillStat’s cancellation policies should you cancel or transfer courses within 14 days of the course date.

DESCRIPTION: SkillStat is proud to be partnering with Providence Health Care to provide a combined ACLS | BLS Provider Course to Providence Health Care staff (St. Paul’s and Mount Saint Joseph Hospitals) in the following units:

St. Paul’s: ICU, CSICU, CICU, PACU, CATH LAB (5CD), ER, ccHAU, Radiology and Respiratory Therapy.
Mt. St. Joseph: ICU, ER, PACU and Respiratory Therapy.

Once you have approval from your Patient Care Manager (PCM) for the course, please register here! If you are in an area other than the ones listed here, please discuss the possibility of attending with your PCM.

ACLS GUIDELINES UPDATE
In October 2020, the latest updates of the Emergency Cardiovascular Care Guidelines were released. Our ACLS | PALS | BLS courses support current practice with the new ACLS, PALS and BLS guidelines, including the latest updates with Covid-19.

MANUALS and pre-reading can be obtained from your educators. If you wish to purchase a manual from SkillStat, you may do so when you register. The manual(s) will be express shipped to your home address. SkillStat also provides a series of links to free ACLS preparation resources through the Heart and Stroke Foundation (videos and a precourse quiz), ILCOR (International Liaison Council on Resuscitation) and SkillStat Learning. You will receive these links in an email confirmation after you register.
